VOC Port Launches Green Initiatives, Hydrogen Fuelling Station
VOC Port in Thoothukudi is becoming a leader in green energy.
They're building a station to fuel ships with green methanol, and have started producing their own green hydrogen using solar power.
This hydrogen will be used to power things like streetlights and electric vehicle chargers at the port.
They are also working with NTPC to set up a green hydrogen fuelling station and using hydrogen-powered trucks.
Plus, they've increased their solar power generation.
This is all part of making the port more environmentally friendly.
