Naidu to Visit Prakasam, Distribute Land Passbooks to Farmers

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu plans to visit Prakasam district on Friday.

He will give farmers land ownership passbooks through a program called Mee Bhoomi-Mee Hakku.

One focus is a long-running disagreement about land called the Garbha Kandrike dispute.

The land covers 2,915 acres in eight villages.

Officials expect the disputed status to be removed.

The land and passbooks are expected to go to 1,301 farmers.

Naidu will also meet farmers to hear their land concerns.

The visit is part of a larger plan to distribute 4.58 lakh passbooks in October.
