Tropical Storm Cristobal Expected to Dissipate by Friday, NHC Says

A tropical storm is a big swirling storm with strong winds that forms over the ocean.

This storm was named Cristobal.

It formed over the central part of the Atlantic Ocean.

The people who watch storms, called the U.S. National Hurricane Center, are watching it closely.

They say Cristobal is getting weaker.

They expect it to disappear by Thursday night or Friday morning.

That means the storm will probably go away later this week.

The storm looks less organized on satellite pictures now than it did before.

When a storm looks less organized, it usually means it is losing strength.

So people hope it will just fade away without causing much trouble.
