Godavari and Krishna Rivers Rise as Projects Release Water
Heavy rainfall has caused water levels in the Godavari and Krishna rivers to rise.
Water is being released from dams upstream.
Authorities are carefully watching the situation and have deployed special teams to help people in areas that might flood.
The water levels are expected to go down starting Wednesday evening.
This is because authorities have begun to reduce the amount of water being released from upstream projects like Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar.
Water levels are rising in the Godavari and Krishna rivers.
Authorities released water from Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage and Prakasam Barrage.
Godavari water level may reach second flood warning level.
