Abhishek Porel Named in Bengal Ranji Trophy Squad

Abhishek Porel has been chosen to play for Bengal in the upcoming Ranji Trophy season.

Bengal is due to start against Delhi on October 11 in Kalyani.

Porel had been arrested in connection with allegations of sexual offences.

He spent 38 days in jail and was later released on bail.

The allegations have not been described as proven in the report.

Police said the complainant alleged that she and Porel had been in a relationship since 2023.

Bengal will be led by Abhimanyu Easwaran.

Mohammad Shami, Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar are also in the team.
