Bihar Police Seize Over 77,000 Litres of Liquor Monthly
In Bihar, where alcohol is banned, the police are catching a lot of liquor.
Each month, they find over 77,000 litres, which is more than what they found last year.
This increase is because the police are watching more closely and enforcing the rules.
Since the ban started in 2016, they've seized a huge amount of alcohol, and they've gotten rid of almost all of it.
To stop alcohol from coming into the state, especially near the upcoming elections, the police are setting up more checkpoints.
They're also working with nearby states and countries to catch smugglers.
Bihar Police seized an average of over 77,000 litres of liquor per month through August 2025.
This represents a 16% increase compared to the previous year's seizures.
Over 2.75 crore litres of liquor have been seized since the prohibition law was implemented in 2016.
97% of the seized liquor has been destroyed.
The government is increasing vigilance and setting up additional checkposts to prevent smuggling.
