Thane Court Grants Bail to Man Accused in Multiple Cases
Imagine someone is accused of doing some bad things, like in 10 different cases!
Even though it seems bad, a judge in Thane, India, decided to let this person out on bail.
The judge said that just because someone is accused doesn't mean they should stay in jail before a trial.
The judge also noted that the person was accused of using a sickle, but that the person did not rob anything of value.
The judge also looked at how the person had a place to live.
The judge said that the person can be out on bail because the law says that people are innocent until proven guilty.
So, the person can now wait for their court case while not being in jail.
Thane Sessions Court granted bail to Akshay Jadekar, accused in 10 criminal cases.
The court cited that the mere registration of multiple offenses does not automatically disqualify an accused from bail.
Jadekar was arrested on October 24, 2024, and was in custody before the bail.
The accused maintained innocence, stating he was falsely implicated and the investigation was complete.
The prosecution opposed bail, viewing Jadekar as leader of organized crime syndicate.
