Allahabad HC Sets September 26 Hearing for Krishna Janmabhumi Case
Imagine a court case about an old religious site in Mathura.
Some people believe a temple was torn down to build a mosque, and they want the land back.
The court is now setting a date to hear arguments from both sides.
The court had previously said it would hear all the cases, which means this case is not blocked by old laws.
It’s like the court is deciding who gets to use the land and what will happen to it.
The next hearing is set for September 26, so everyone knows when to come back and continue the discussion.
The Allahabad High Court has scheduled the next hearing for the Krishna Janmabhumi-Shahi Idgah dispute on September 26.
The court previously allowed a representative suit under Order 1, Rule 8 of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC).
18 suits have been filed by the Hindu side seeking possession of land and removal of the Shahi Idgah.
The court rejected the Muslim side's challenges to the maintainability of the suits on August 1, 2024.
An application by the Shahi Idgah mosque committee to recall a previous order was rejected on October 23, 2024.
