PM Modi to Inaugurate Navi Mumbai Airport October 8
The new Navi Mumbai airport is opening soon!
Prime Minister Modi will officially open it on October 8th.
It will start with flights to a few cities, increasing over time.
The airport will handle many passengers and lots of cargo, like packages.
It's designed to be comfortable and modern.
After it is fully built, the airport will be very large, helping many more people travel by air.
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Navi Mumbai International Airport on October 8.
The airport received its Aerodrome Licence from the DGCA, allowing flight operations.
Flight operations will start a week or two after the inauguration.
Initially, there will be 60 daily flights, increasing to 240-300 in six months.
The airport is expected to handle 20 million passengers annually in the first phase.
