Delhi High Court fines man for misuse of law
A man in Delhi tried to tell the court about illegal building work near his old home.
But the court said no because he didn't live there anymore and wasn't affected by the building work.
The court also made him pay 50,000 rupees because they said he was using the court for the wrong reasons.
The man had to pay this money within a month.
The court said only people who are directly affected by illegal building work can complain about it.
Delhi High Court imposed a Rs 50,000 cost on a man for filing a petition against unauthorized construction he had no connection to.
The court found the petitioner neither resided near the property nor had a direct connection to it.
The court stated that petitions about unauthorized construction are only maintainable by directly affected persons.
The petitioner had moved out of the premises as he was living there on rent.
