Tezaab Casting: Madhuri Dixit Backed Meenakshi Seshadri Amidst Casting Rumors
There's a story about how movies get made, specifically the movie Tezaab from 1988.
When they were deciding who should be the girl in the movie, they first thought of an actress named Meenakshi Seshadri.
At the same time, Meenakshi was also very busy working on another big movie with a famous actor.
Another actress named Madhuri Dixit, who later got the role, actually supported Meenakshi and apparently spoke up for her during the casting process.
There's also a different story about the boy in the movie, with one actor saying he was supposed to be in it but was replaced.
Meenakshi Seshadri was initially considered for the female lead role in the 1988 film Tezaab.
Seshadri was simultaneously working on the film Shahenshah opposite Amitabh Bachchan during Tezaab's casting.
Actress Madhuri Dixit, who ultimately starred in Tezaab, reportedly stood by and supported Meenakshi Seshadri during the casting process.
Separately, actor Aditya Pancholi claimed he was initially chosen for the male lead but was replaced.
