YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani strategically championed the project, a source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama.
Production is expected to begin later this year, with the film eyeing a theatrical release in 2027.
The horror film will be Varun Dhawan's second YRF project after Sui Dhaaga; he was previously part of Maddock's Bhediya.
