Indian-Origin Man Shot Dead in Burnaby
A 28-year-old man named Dilraj Singh Gill was shot and killed in Burnaby, Canada.
The police think this was a planned attack and might be connected to a bigger gang fight in the area.
The man who died had some problems with the law before.
The police found a car on fire near where he was shot, which they think was used in the crime.
They are asking anyone who knows anything to come forward and help.
Another man was also killed earlier this month, and the police think these two killings might be connected.
Dilraj Singh Gill, a 28-year-old Indian-origin man, was shot dead in Burnaby, Canada on January 22, 2026.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) believes the incident was a targeted attack linked to the BC gang war.
Police found a vehicle engulfed in flames near the shooting site, a tactic commonly associated with organized gang violence.
Gill had prior convictions, including drug-related charges in 2021 and other offences dating back to 2016.
The killing may be connected to the murder of Navpreet Dhaliwal, another 28-year-old Indo-Canadian, who was shot dead earlier this month in Abbotsford.
