Congress MP Defends Rahul Gandhi Amid Criticism
A senior Congress leader, Manickam Tagore, recently spoke out against some people who are criticizing Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party.
Tagore called these critics the 'new batch of betrayers' and said they are not being honest but are instead trying to gain attention and please others in power.
He defended Rahul Gandhi's long walks, called yatras, which were meant to spread love and justice across India.
Tagore also said that Gandhi's leadership helped the opposition alliance, called the INDIA Bloc, get close to forming a government.
He praised Gandhi for bringing politics back to the people and standing up to hate with love.
Meanwhile, former Congress MP Shakeel Ahmad alleged that the Congress leadership ordered attacks on his homes in Patna and Madhubani after he called Rahul Gandhi a coward.
Ahmad claimed that these attacks were ordered under the guise of burning his effigies.
The Congress hit back, with Tagore branding Ahmad a 'betrayer' and accusing him of attacking Gandhi for political gain.
