Delhi Court Rejects Anticipatory Bail in Satya Niketan Collapse Case

Delhi Court Rejects Anticipatory Bail in Satya Niketan Collapse Case

A building in Satya Niketan, Delhi, collapsed and seven people died.

Police accuse several people of being connected to the building and a paying guest business there.

Shubham Tyagi asked the court for protection from arrest.

The court refused that request for now.

Judges noted that Tyagi had a rent agreement for two floors that he had not mentioned in his application.

The court said this agreement appeared connected to another agreement signed by co-accused Sudhanshu.

A student also said both men collected rent and told students that renovation was happening.

Investigators want to question Tyagi further about the business, money, and construction work.
