Centre Seeks States’ Details on Indians Missing After Nepal Floods

Severe floods struck parts of Nepal on Wednesday.

More than 1,000 people are reported missing.

Some reports say over 300 of them may be Indians.

The Indian government has asked state governments to find information about people who may have been in the affected area.

States are being asked for names, phone numbers and other useful details.

This information will be shared privately with authorities.

Many of the potentially missing Indians were tourists traveling to Kailash Mansarovar.

Others were working at the Trishuli hydropower project.
