Progeny mapping reveals Bengal voter as father at five
In West Bengal, India, a special check of voter lists found something very strange.
A man named Saroj Majhi, who is now 64 years old, is listed as the father of two sons, Lakkhi and Sagar, who are 60 and 59 years old.
This means that Saroj would have been just five years old when his sons were born, which is impossible.
The Election Commission is now asking the brothers to explain this.
They might have given wrong information to stay on the voter list.
This is one of many unusual cases found during the check.
Over 1.60 lakh voters have strange family tree data, and the Commission is looking into these cases to make sure the voter list is correct.

The unusual case was found in Part 175 of the Mangalkot assembly constituency in East Burdwan district.
