Maharashtra Grants Rural Road Status to Nine Khatav Roads

Maharashtra Grants Rural Road Status to Nine Khatav Roads

The Maharashtra government has officially recognized nine roads in Khatav as rural roads.

These roads were not previously classified this way.

Together, they cover about 24 kilometers.

The change allows the roads to be included in planned development work.

It may also make it easier to organize funding and improve travel between villages.

The roads lead to places such as temples, settlements, bridges and other roads.

The request came after the Satara Zilla Parishad asked for the roads to be included.

Officials said the work will not need land acquisition and the roads do not cross forest land.
