Assam Islamic Groups Seek Land Rights
Eight Islamic groups in Assam held a press conference to ask the government to include Muslims in a program called Mission Basundhara, which gives land to poor and landless families.
They said the government should do a survey to find out who needs help.
They also criticized the Congress party for not doing enough for Muslims and said they won't support Congress in future elections.
Instead, they might support the BJP in an upcoming election.
