Delhi to Compensate Construction Workers Affected by GRAP Curbs
The Delhi government is giving ₹10,000 to construction workers who lost income because of pollution rules.
These rules, called GRAP, stopped all construction work for 16 days.
Now, with even stricter rules, the government wants to help workers by giving them money directly.
Workers need to register on the Delhi government's website to get this help.
The government will also consider the days under the stricter rules for more compensation later.
Delhi government to provide ₹10,000 compensation to registered and verified construction workers affected by GRAP curbs.
Compensation follows a 16-day suspension of construction work under GRAP-3 and ongoing GRAP-4 restrictions.
Payment will be made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to ensure timely disbursal.
