Delhi's Air Quality Deteriorates to 'Very Poor'
Delhi's air quality has become very bad, reaching the 'Very Poor' category.
This is because of thick smog and fog that are trapping pollutants, making it hard to see and breathe.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in some areas is even in the 'Severe' category.
The government is taking steps to control pollution, like checking vehicles and impounding those that don't meet emission norms.
The weather is also very cold, with temperatures around 7.8 degrees Celsius, and it's expected to stay foggy.
People, especially children, the elderly, and those with respiratory issues, are advised to limit outdoor activities and wear masks.
Delhi's air quality has deteriorated to the 'Very Poor' category, with AQI exceeding 300 in many areas.
Thick smog and fog are trapping pollutants, reducing visibility and disrupting daily life.
AQI in Anand Vihar and Akshardham reached 410, classified as 'Severe' by the CPCB.
The Delhi Transport Department impounded 28 buses and issued 3,970 challans for violating emission norms.
The IMD has forecast foggy conditions with a maximum temperature of around 22 degrees Celsius.
