Chennai Metro to Conduct Trial Run on Porur to Poonamallee Track
Chennai is testing a new part of its metro line.
They're running a train on the tracks between Porur and Poonamallee to make sure everything works correctly.
This is part of a larger project to build more metro lines.

They plan to start testing more trains in a few weeks.
This is a step towards opening the new metro line for everyone to use.
Chennai Metro Rail will conduct a trial run on the downline track from Porur to Poonamallee on June 6.
The 9.1 km Poonamallee-Porur stretch is part of the phase-II project and is planned to be inaugurated by the year-end.
