Indian Parliament's Monsoon Session Ends Amid Disruptions, Low Productivity

India's Parliament is like a big meeting room where leaders make new rules for the country.

Recently, the meeting was very noisy, with many leaders shouting and making a fuss.

Because of all the noise, the leaders did not do much work.

The people in charge ended the meeting early, about seven hours before it was supposed to finish.

Even so, around 20 new rules were passed very quickly.

Some important rules were about stopping cheating in exams, giving the Supreme Court more judges, and renaming the state of Kerala as 'Keralam'.

During the meeting, almost no time was given for citizens' questions, with only two questions asked in one part of the Parliament.

One minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, had to leave his job after big street protests.

The different political groups each say they won, but many people think ordinary citizens lost.
