Bajaj Finance Expands AI Cameras to 3,000 Stores by 2027
Bajaj Finance, a big Indian lender, wants to use smart cameras that can see faces to greet customers as soon as they walk into a store.
The cameras will remember who the customer is and show them special deals right away.
They already have the system working in about 500 stores and plan to add it to 3,000 stores by March 2027.
The company says the new cameras will help them find customers faster, cut fraud, and make more people buy their products.
In the last year, Bajaj Finance made a lot of money and grew its assets a lot, showing that the plan could help it grow even more.
Bajaj Finance plans to deploy AI-powered facial recognition cameras in 3,000 stores by March 2027.
Current system identifies 40% of customers; upgrades aim to raise identification rate to 70%.
Cameras will trigger personalized offers instantly, aiming to reduce customer deflection and fraud.
The company captured 10 million images, identifying 3.2 million existing customers in the past four months.
Bajaj Finance reported a 28% rise in net profit to ₹6,081 crore and AUM of ₹5.5 trillion as of June 30.
