Coal India Plans More IPOs After BCCL
Coal India, a big company that mines coal, is planning to list three of its subsidiaries on the stock market.
The first one, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), is getting ready for an IPO worth ₹1,300 crore.
This IPO is expected to happen soon and will help Coal India sell some of its shares in BCCL.
The other two subsidiaries, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), will also be listed in the future.
The Ministry of Coal asked Coal India to do this to make the company more transparent and to help the stock market grow.
BCCL is a big producer of coal used in making steel and has no debt.
The IPO will not give BCCL any new money but will help Coal India by selling some of its shares.
The stock price of Coal India has been going up, and it has given big returns to investors over the past five years.
Coal India plans to list subsidiaries BCCL, MCL, and SECL on the stock market.
BCCL's IPO is valued at ₹1,300 crore and is expected within two weeks.
The IPO is an offer-for-sale, with Coal India diluting 10% of its equity stake in BCCL.
