Rob Reiner Wins Posthumous Emmy, Breaking His Father’s Record

Rob Reiner won an Emmy for acting in The Bear after he had died.

He played a character named Albert Schnurr.

The award was for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy.

People at the ceremony stood and applauded him.

Reiner died in December 2025 with his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.

Their son, Nick Reiner, has pleaded not guilty to charges related to their deaths.

Rob had last won an acting Emmy 48 years earlier.

That made his new win the longest gap between acting Emmy victories.
