Delhi Adds Cameras and Automated Vehicle Testing Centres

Delhi Adds Cameras and Automated Vehicle Testing Centres

Delhi wants to check vehicle pollution more carefully.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said cameras will be installed at all Pollution Under Control centres in Delhi-NCR.

These cameras are meant to make testing more transparent and easier to monitor.

The government has also opened two automated vehicle-testing centres.

They are located at Nand Nagri and Tehkhand.

Computers and machines will perform much of the testing with little human involvement.

The centres can test about 72,000 vehicles each year together.

They will check pollution, brakes, suspension, vehicle undersides and headlights.
