High Court Hears Madhya Pradesh Promotion Quota Case, Next Hearing Nov 13
The High Court in Madhya Pradesh is listening to arguments about how people should be promoted in their jobs when there's a rule about giving certain groups more chances.
The government has given some information to the court.
One group, SAPAKS, says they are okay with the idea of giving chances but it must be done the right way according to the rules.
Another group, AJJAKS, has joined the case after being told to by a higher court.
The judges listened to some arguments, but they didn't talk about the information the government gave.
They will continue talking about this on November 13.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court heard petitions regarding reservation in promotions.
The state government submitted quantified data in a sealed envelope and sought more time.
SAPAKS argued that reservation in promotions must follow constitutional provisions.
Anusuchit Jat-Jati Adhikari Karamchari Sangh (AJJAKS) intervened in the case.
