Ganga Expressway Sets Two World Records in 24 Hours
Imagine building a really long road!
In Uttar Pradesh, they're building a super-fast road called the Ganga Expressway.
In just one day, they broke two world records!
They paved a huge section of the road with special black stuff, more than anyone else ever has.
Also, they put up a long safety barrier, the first of its kind on an expressway in India.
This shows they're working fast and making sure everything is well-built.
The government is proud of this speedy construction, making sure everything meets the highest standards.
The Ganga Expressway project in Uttar Pradesh set two world records within 24 hours.
A 34.2-km stretch of bituminous concrete was laid in the Hardoi-Unnao division, the highest globally.
10km of Thrie beam crash barriers were installed in a day, a first for an Indian expressway.
The project is overseen by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority.
The achievements were recognized by the Golden Book of World Records, Asia Book of Records, and Indian Book of Records.
