Zuckerberg Buys 440-Acre Strancally Castle Estate in Ireland

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan bought a very large, old castle in Ireland.

The castle is called Strancally Castle and comes with about 440 acres of land.

It has three floors and is about 16,000 square feet.

It was built nearly 200 years ago for a politician named John Keily.

The kitchen and dining room are so far apart that reaching the dining room takes about four and a half minutes of brisk walking.

The exact price was not announced, but reports estimated it could be worth up to €30 million.

The couple plans to visit the castle rather than move permanently to Ireland.

Meta, Zuckerberg’s company, has its international headquarters and other operations in Ireland.

Some historical books also describe a darker legend connected to the original castle site.
