Jupally Pledges Restoration and Preservation of Ancient Egyptian Mummy

A minister visited an archaeology museum in Hyderabad.

The museum has an Egyptian mummy believed to be from 2500 BCE.

It also has galleries with bronze objects, Buddhist items, sculptures, firearms, and paintings.

The minister said the museum had not received enough care for many years.

He promised that the museum would be repaired and restored.

He also said the mummy would be kept safe.

Experts from Germany recommended work that may cost about Rs.

82 lakh.

Officials must prepare estimates for the repairs within one week.
