Karnataka CM, Dy CM meet Kharge amid Cabinet expansion plans
The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka met with the leader of their party, Mallikarjun Kharge, to talk about adding new ministers to their government.
There are 20 empty positions, and over 40 leaders want these jobs.
The party is also planning to change some of its local leaders.
The decision is taking time because they need to consider many things like fairness and who is loyal to the party.
They had meetings in Delhi but couldn't agree, so they are still discussing.
A big leader from the party will come to Bengaluru to talk more about this.
Karnataka CM D.K. Shivakumar and Dy CM G. Parameshwara met AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge in Bengaluru.
The meeting discussed the delayed Cabinet expansion and organisational reshuffle in the Congress party.
The Congress government has 14 ministers, with 20 Cabinet positions vacant, and over 40 leaders vying for these roles.
The delay is due to complex considerations involving regional representation, caste equations, seniority, and political factors.
The Congress is also planning to replace all district Congress presidents in Karnataka, marking a significant organisational change.
