Damdami Taksal Maintains Stance Against Jathedar Speaking at Event
Damdami Taksal, a Sikh seminary, is against the officiating jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, speaking at the Operation Bluestar anniversary.
They believe his appointment is illegitimate and don't want him delivering the message from Akal Takht.
The SGPC, in charge of the event, is meeting with the Damdami Taksal leader to find a solution.
If Gargaj speaks, the Damdami Taksal and other Sikh groups will strongly object.
The seminary suggests the SGPC consider another respected Sikh leader to deliver the message instead.
