Five Odisha Migrant Workers Rescued From Alleged Bondage

Five young workers from Odisha went to Andhra Pradesh for jobs.

Their families said the workers were promised employment but were later kept at a fish-processing unit.

The workers allegedly had little food and drinking water.

They also reportedly were not paid and could not freely leave.

Their phones were allegedly taken away, making it difficult to contact their families.

The families asked the police for help.

Police from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh worked together to rescue them.

The workers were brought safely back home.

Officials are now considering legal action and ways to protect other migrant workers.
