Fake RTO E-Challan Case: Gujarat Police Arrest Jamtara Gang Aide

A police unit in the Indian city of Surat caught a man who helped a gang of online tricksters.

The gang sent people a fake app that looked like a real traffic fine notice.

When a boy installed the app on his phone, the tricksters could secretly see his messages and bank details.

They used that to take money out of his family's bank account.

The man who was caught is accused of collecting the stolen money and turning it into cash.

He kept a little bit of the money for himself and gave the rest to the gang.

The police found the stolen money in his bank account.

The police say you should never install apps sent by people you don't know.
