Mithun Chakraborty Announces 30 Percent Bengal Film Subsidy

Mithun Chakraborty has been given a cultural advisor role by the BJP government in West Bengal.

He said filmmakers who shoot movies in the state can receive a 30 percent subsidy.

The goal is to encourage film crews from across India to work in Bengal.

The announcement came after a discussion with Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.

The state also plans to build a film centre named after Bengali actor Uttam Kumar.

The centre will be built in New Town and is expected to cost Rs 25 crore.

Chakraborty also argued with former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee about political protests.

Banerjee had said she might protest outside BJP leaders’ homes in Delhi.
