Caliber Mining and Logistics IPO debuts with gains
Caliber Mining and Logistics had its first day of trading on the Indian stock markets on Friday, 24 July.
The company's shares started trading higher than the price set during the initial public offering (IPO), which is a good sign.
However, later in the day, the share price dropped a bit but still remained higher than the IPO price.
This shows that while there was initial excitement, the overall market was not very strong that day.
Caliber Mining and Logistics shares listed at a premium of 19% on BSE and 18% on NSE over the issue price of ₹424.
The stock initially listed at ₹504 on BSE and ₹500.25 on NSE.
Later in the day, the stock fell to ₹463.15 on BSE and ₹463.35 on NSE.
Despite the drop, the stock remained above the issue price throughout the day.
The weak market sentiment contributed to the erosion of initial gains.
