MPs Welcome Approval of Arakkonam–Renigunta Rail Expansion

The Union Cabinet approved two new railway lines between Arakkonam and Renigunta.

The route is 77 kilometers long and passes through Puttur.

Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasada Rao and Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy welcomed the decision.

They said the extra lines could make trains move more smoothly.

They also said trains might become faster and more punctual.

Better rail services could help people traveling to Tirupati.

Freight trains could more easily carry mangoes, tomatoes, dairy products and granite.

The MPs believe the project could encourage new businesses and investment in the region.
