JNU Election Results 2025: Left Unity Leads Central Posts, ABVP Strong in Councillor Races
The votes for student elections at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) are being counted.
The Left Unity group is currently leading in the race for top student government positions like President, Vice-President, General Secretary, and Joint Secretary.
Another group, the ABVP, is behind in these main roles but is doing well in electing students to represent smaller groups called councillors.
These elections are important because the chosen students will speak up for their fellow students on topics like studies, life on campus, and ensuring fairness.
Voting happened on November 4th, and the final results are expected today, November 6th.
This year, a bit fewer students voted than last year.
The Left Unity (LU) is leading in the presidential race at JNU, with Aditi ahead.
In the Vice-President race, K Gopika of the Left Unity is leading.
