New Osmania General Hospital Construction Reaches 25 Per Cent

A new Osmania General Hospital is being built in Goshamahal.

An official source says about one-quarter of the construction is finished.

Workers are completing the underground cellar areas and building ground floors in four buildings.

Nearly 2,000 workers are now on the project, up from about 250.

The hospital is planned to have 2,000 beds, more than the existing 1,168.

It will also have a 500-bed intensive care unit and 29 operating theatres.

The wider campus will include colleges, hostels and parking for about 3,000 vehicles.

The project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2027.
