NFR launches GoLukBuk digital travel kiosks at Guwahati station
The Northeast Frontier Railway, which runs trains in the northeastern part of India, has set up special computer machines called kiosks at Guwahati Railway Station.
These kiosks are part of a new program called GoLukBuk.
They help passengers book things they need for their trips, like hotel rooms, taxis, and even places to sleep.
Passengers can do all of this on one screen instead of using many different apps.
The kiosks were opened by Mr. Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, the General Manager of the railway.
More of these kiosks will be added at Kamakhya Railway Station too.
The kiosks also have big screens that show advertisements.
This helps the railway earn extra money.
The railway wants to use technology to make travel easier and more convenient for everyone.
Northeast Frontier Railway launched its first-of-its-kind Digital Travel Assistance Kiosk Network, branded GoLukBuk, at Guwahati Railway Station.
The kiosks let passengers compare and book hotels, cab and car rentals, food delivery, sleeping pods, and meeting pods from a single interface.
The initiative was introduced under the New Innovative Non-Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (NINFRIS) and inaugurated by NFR General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava.
Kiosks feature high-resolution displays and LED hologram fan technology, creating a Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising platform.
Additional kiosks are planned at Kamakhya Railway Station, and Quick Commerce services are slated for future integration.
