Pogacar Wins Record Fifth Tour de France

Tadej Pogacar won his fifth Tour de France title on July 26, 2026, in Paris.

He finished 6 minutes and 26 seconds ahead of Remco Evenepoel and 9 minutes and 42 seconds ahead of Isaac del Toro.

Pogacar also won five stages this year, bringing his career total to 26.

The final stage was shortened due to wildfires and featured three climbs through Montmartre.

Mathieu van der Poel won the final stage in a dramatic sprint.

Pogacar reflected on his fairytale career and the absence of key rivals like Jonas Vingegaard.

Richard Carapaz won the polka-dot jersey for best climber.

Pogacar remains non-committal about competing in the Vuelta a España.
