Karnataka Studies Andhra's Model for Tulu Language Status
Karnataka is thinking about making Tulu an official language, just like Andhra Pradesh did with Urdu.
A team from Karnataka went to Andhra to learn how they made Urdu official.
They talked to important people and visited schools and government offices.
They found out that making Urdu official didn't hurt the Telugu language.
Now, they will write a report to help Karnataka decide about Tulu.
The report will be given to the Karnataka government soon.
Karnataka's study committee visited Andhra Pradesh to learn about granting official language status to Urdu.
The committee met with Andhra Pradesh officials, including the Chief Secretary and the Speaker's office.
They visited government departments, schools, and local administration to understand the implementation.
Andhra officials assured that Urdu's official status did not affect Telugu language development.
The committee will submit a report to Karnataka's government to guide the decision on Tulu's status.
