Markets decline amid geopolitical tensions and HDFC Bank losses
The Indian stock markets, Sensex and Nifty, fell for the second day in a row.
This happened because of worries about the growing conflict between the US and Iran, which made oil prices go up.
Also, investors were not happy with HDFC Bank's recent earnings report.
While some sectors like banking and financial services did poorly, others like real estate and commodities did better.
The overall mood was cautious, but some smaller companies did well.
Sensex and Nifty declined for the second day due to geopolitical tensions and HDFC Bank's poor earnings.
Sensex dropped 238.41 points to 77,470.11, and Nifty fell 50.80 points to 24,187.70.
HDFC Bank fell 2%, Reliance Industries and State Bank of India each dropped 1.48%.
Bajaj Finserv was the top gainer, rising 2.07%.
Sectors like PSU Bank and IT declined, while MidSmall Private Banks and Realty gained.
