Stalin Condemns TVK Government Over Nurses’ Midnight Arrests

Nurses in Chennai were protesting for better job security and fair pay.

Police arrested some of the demonstrators, according to the report.

M.K. Stalin, who leads the opposition DMK, criticized the arrests.

He said the nurses were protesting peacefully and that the government should have spoken with them.

The nurses’ lawyer alleged that some representatives were taken into custody after being told they were going to talks.

Stalin also said TVK had promised permanent jobs for contract nurses before it came to power.

He questioned the use of police action against nurses making those demands.

The article does not include a response from the TVK government.
