NHAI Sets Four Guinness World Records
The NHAI and Rajpath Infracon Private Limited set four Guinness World Records while building a big highway called the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
They did this by laying a lot of road material very quickly.
The new highway will be 343 km long and will make traveling faster and easier.
It will connect important places and reduce travel time by four hours.
They used special machines and checked the quality with help from experts like IIT Bombay.
The project is expected to be completed by February 2027.
NHAI and Rajpath Infracon set 4 Guinness World Records on the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
Records include longest continuous laying of bituminous concrete (28.89 lane km in 24 hours) and highest quantity laid (10,655 metric tonnes in 24 hours).
Additional records for laying 57,500 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete and paving 156 lane km.
The 343 km corridor will reduce travel distance by 100 km and time by 4 hours.
Project features 17 interchanges, 10 wayside amenities, a 5.3 km tunnel, and a 21 km forest section.
