Dangerous Driving on Hyderabad ORR Exposes Enforcement Gaps
A large vehicle stopped in the middle of Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road.
Its driver tried to reverse and leave the road by going the wrong way.
This blocked much of the roadway for several minutes.
Cars had to squeeze through a single lane to continue.
One car narrowly avoided a crash.
A video of the incident later spread online.
The road has also seen wrong-way driving, lane violations and speeding.
The report says parked trucks and limited enforcement remain serious safety concerns.
A heavy vehicle reportedly stopped and reversed on the ORR between exits 11 and 12 toward Gachibowli on August 15.
The maneuver forced cars into a single lane near the central median as the vehicle attempted to exit in the wrong direction.
A car escaped a mishap, and footage of the incident went viral on Thursday.
Traffic offences, including wrong-way driving, lane violations and speeding, continue on the 158-kilometre expressway.
Parked trucks and earlier fatal incidents have raised further concerns about enforcement and road safety on the ORR.
