Bengaluru's First Feeder Bus Launches After Resident Campaign
Imagine a bus that helps people get to a bigger bus or train, like a connecting flight!
In Bengaluru, a group of people wanted this kind of bus service.
One engineer led the way, getting many people to sign a petition and talk to the government.
It took some time, but they got the new bus, which helps people in their neighborhood get to work and other places.
They learned that getting everyone involved and keeping them informed was key to making the project a success, especially after other similar projects failed due to lack of outreach.
Thanks to community effort, the feeder bus became a success!
A software engineer spearheaded a campaign that led to the launch of Bengaluru's first feeder bus.
The campaign involved collecting 400 signatures and engaging with authorities for three months.
The feeder bus is intended to serve residents of Kaggadasapura and C V Raman Nagar and employees of Bagmane Tech Park and DRDO.
The campaign started around October 2023, after an initial push for a feeder bus in the area.
Success of the feeder bus was due to citizen involvement during planning and persistent outreach efforts.
