Nashik Dams Reach 82.94% Capacity; Large-Scale Discharge Underway

In Nashik, the dams have a lot of water stored, about 82.94% of their total capacity.

This is much more than last year's 70.53%.

Many dams are full to 100%, like Alandi, Bhavli, and Valdevi.

The Irrigation Department is releasing a lot of water, about 70,296 cusecs, to prevent the dams from overflowing.

The most water is coming from the Nandur-Madhyameshwar weir.

They are monitoring the situation and say the water supply to Nashik city will not be affected.
