Amazon Joins Government to Combat Cybercrime in India
Online fraud is costing Indians a lot of money, especially through payment apps.
To help, Amazon India teamed up with the government to teach people how to avoid scams.
They are focusing on educating young people, who are often new to handling money and are therefore easy targets for criminals.
Amazon will never ask you for money through email or demand you to buy gift cards or install software for support.
By learning to spot scams, everyone can better protect themselves from losing money online.
Indians lost over ₹4,200 crore to cybercrime in the first ten months of FY25.
UPI-linked scams caused losses of ₹1,087 crore in FY24.
Banking-related cyber frauds have surged between FY23 and FY24.
Amazon India has partnered with I4C to launch a scam awareness campaign.
